How Commission Works

Sassychat charges a commission only on AI-generated sales. This page explains what that means, the rates, and how commission is charged.

What counts as an “AI-generated sale”

An AI-generated sale is a fan purchase made within the attribution window after an auto-sent AI message in the conversation thread.

Auto-sent — the AI Agent sent the message autonomously, with no human clicking to send it.
In the conversation thread — the AI message and the purchase happened in the same fan conversation.
Within the attribution window — the purchase happened within a defined period after the last auto-sent AI message (default 24 hours; the exact value is shown in your billing settings).

What does NOT count:

Messages you review and send yourself, even if the AI suggested the text — that’s a human-driven sale, no commission.
Purchases by fans you’ve never exchanged an auto-sent AI message with.
Purchases outside the attribution window.

Break-even: Pro’s 1.5-point discount saves $30 per account for every $2,000 in AI-generated sales, which exactly offsets its $30 higher fixed fee — so ($59 − $29) / (10% − 8.5%) = $2,000 / account / month. Below that, Basic costs less; above it, Pro does. Use the plan calculator in Settings → Billing for your own numbers.

How commission is charged

Commission is calculated at the point of attribution — when the platform records the fan purchase and the pipeline confirms an auto-sent AI message within the window. Each attributed sale is drawn from your prepaid wallet balance, alongside your fixed account fees. There’s no monthly invoice and no card charged in arrears — charges simply draw the wallet down, so keep it funded (or turn on auto top-up).

You can see accrued commission month-to-date in the Commission Earned widget on your Dashboard, and every individual charge in your wallet transactions.

Trial behaviour

During your fee-free trial, no fixed fees are charged, but commission still accrues at the Basic rate (10%) from the moment auto-send is enabled. The trial is “fee-free”, not “commission-free” — so the model you try is the model you pay for. After the trial, keep your wallet funded to stay active.

Refunds and chargebacks

If a fan refunds or charges back a purchase that was attributed as an AI-generated sale, the commission on that sale is credited back to your wallet. Refunds do not affect fixed account fees.
